PERSONAL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMME (PEP)

At King’s College Wimbledon Ho Chi Minh City, enrichment is a valued and integral part of education.

Through the Personal Enrichment Programme (PEP), pupils are given regular opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills and contribute to the life of the School. PEP is built into the weekly timetable so that every pupil takes part, ensuring that enrichment sits alongside academic learning rather than apart from it.

Guided by the values of Mind, Spirit, and Heart, the programme helps pupils grow intellectually, socially and personally as they discover their strengths, deepen their interests and build confidence in the world around them.

Mind, Spirit and Heart

Mind

The Personal Enrichment Programme nurtures curiosity beyond the curriculum, giving pupils space to explore ideas, question deeply and think independently, while building confidence to express their thoughts clearly and pursue their interests with purpose.

Spirit

Through service, community partnerships and global perspectives, pupils learn responsibility, empathy and collaboration, gaining a deeper understanding of their impact and developing a strong sense of purpose in contributing meaningfully to others.

Heart

Through arts, sport and leadership, pupils build confidence, resilience and self-belief, learning to embrace challenges, grow through experience and take pride in sharing their talents, efforts and achievements with the wider community.

Why PEP Matter For Your Child

Because the Personal Enrichment Programme is a timetabled part of the school week, it is valued alongside academic learning. It ensures that every pupil has regular opportunities to develop the qualities that shape character as well as intellect.

Through the Personal Enrichment Programme, pupils learn to work with others, to lead and contribute, and to reflect on their own strengths and responsibilities. They build friendships, develop self-awareness and learn how to approach challenges with resilience and confidence. In doing so, they begin to understand what it means to take initiative, to collaborate thoughtfully and to act with integrity.

For many families across King’s schools, these experiences become some of the most meaningful aspects of their child’s education. Alongside strong academic foundations, the Personal Enrichment Programme helps pupils grow into balanced, confident young people who are prepared to contribute positively to the communities they are part of.

Why PEP Matter For Your Child
Guided By Passionate Teachers

The Personal Enrichment Programme is led by teachers who bring their own interests and enthusiasms into school life. Whether through activities such as dance, coding, music, chess, drama or service projects - among many others - pupils encounter adults who are eager to share what they value and enjoy.

In this way, teachers are not only instructors but role models, demonstrating curiosity, commitment and generosity of spirit. Pupils see learning as something that extends beyond the classroom and into the wider life of the school.

This helps create an environment in which pupils feel known, supported and encouraged. They learn that their ideas and interests matter, and that school is a place where passions can be discovered, developed and shared with others.

Where PEP Leads: The World Beyond King's

The Personal Enrichment Programme (PEP) helps prepare pupils for the choices and opportunities that lie beyond school. Through the experiences it offers, pupils begin to develop the independence, empathy and confidence that will guide them through the Sixth Form, future university pathways and the wider responsibilities of adult life.

Over time, pupils strengthen their independence of thought, building the confidence to form their own views and approach new ideas with curiosity. Pupils learn to contribute thoughtfully to the communities they are a part of and approach new challenges with resilience. The habits and values nurtured through PEP remain with them long after they leave the classroom, helping them to lead purposeful and balanced lives beyond King’s.
